A Chemical Romance of Sorts

Here's my version of the Joker and his queen of chaos, Harley Quinne. Here I tried to combine my flavor of line with a similar handling of blacks from the previous drawing. this piece proved to be a bit of fun, because I was able to develop the joker as I saw him, a really rotten core of a villian. I really see him as a sick and twisted, chemically unbalanced foe. As one friend put it, "the yin to Batman's cold, methodical yang." Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

The Return of Lobster Johnson

Over my break I took some time to crank out some ink pieces, experimenting and studying some of the greats like Mike Mignola. I'm trying to hone in on my style, and the first fruit of all this came out in the form of Lobster Johnson, one of my favorite characters. There's many more coming as I finish coloring them, so stay tuned. Take care and I hope you enjoy.

Happy New Year!

Ok, so I'm a little late, but I'm sure alot of you can understand if I say this time of the year can be a bit hectic. Thought I'd post this one: It's a piece I did for the DRAW! Invincible event Velocity Comics hosted here in Richmond. I came out the victor this time around so that was exciting. Chances of this getting published in an issue of "Invincible" is up in the air, so I'll keep you all posted. "Invincible" is an Image Comics character, and a great read, I encourage you guys to pick up a trade if you can. I'll be posting more of art soon, I'm in the process of trying to crank out a piece a day, so wish me your best. Captain's log signing out --
